Hi, I am an economist and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University in Melbourne. I develop probabilistic machine-learning and statistical methods to recover latent structure, quantify uncertainty, and assess the reliability of empirical conclusions.

I combine Bayesian modelling and computational inference with spatial and network methods and sensitivity analysis. Applications centre on socioeconomic and environmental systems, including mining, deforestation, land use, and agriculture, where hidden relationships and the joint contribution of observations shape what can be learned from data.
